A Wedding for Alex, Toi Sweeney, Jennifer’s Bridal

Your partnership wasn’t mass produced - why should your wedding dress be?

Each design in Toi Sweeney’s atelier is a truly custom, one of a kind creation. From first sketch to final fitting, your bridal gown will be handcrafted to highlight your best features and cut to your exacting specification. It will be made using the finest materials available, such as 100% double-faced silk satin, which looks substantial, offers a graceful proportion yet feels light and soft.

A graduate of the Art Institute of Philadelphia, Sweeney has studied under world renowned fashion designer Zang Toi, has participated in New York Fashion Week events and was nominated for the prestigious Rising Star Award by Fashion Group International NY. Sweeney’s designs are sold at high end boutiques and have been featured in several newspapers and magazines.

Most women never have the chance to own or wear couture – even on their wedding day. This is an opportunity to assist in the design of your own dress, to create a wearable piece of art that serves as a testament to your personal style and an embodiment of grace and detail. The result – a gown that is made to endure through generations as a cherished heirloom. Thirty years from now, your daughter will thank you.

For bridesmaids dresses, drive through the scenic Brandywine Valley to Jennifer’s Bridal in upscale Hockessin. Jennifer’s Bridal carries an elegant array of dresses by Jim Hjelm, Nicole Miller, Watters and Watters, Lazaro and Amsale. The shop has an incredible assortment of shoes, accessories and mother of the bride dresses. Even custom made veils. You’ll have $1,500 to spend any way you wish.

Jennifer’s Bridal has been named “Best of Delaware” several times – both for bridal wear and bridesmaid’s dresses. The shop has been featured on “Whose Wedding Is It Anyway?” on the Style Network and has been featured on NBC 10 and in the pages of V.I.P Magazine. It’s fantastic.

And for the smallest member of your bridal party, a dress truly fit for a princess. Amy Barrett of Amy Elizabeth designs will custom create a couture dress for your Flower Girl. That’s right. It’s time to play the most elegant game of dress up a little girl could imagine. Choose the fabric – from silk dupioni or beaded fabrics to hand crocheted lace – add silk flowers or bows. Whatever you wish. This little girl’s confection is absolutely one of a kind – and quite literally out of your dreams.

The total value of this dress package exceeds $10,000.
